FME’s new Wizard Hotfoil system is a modular unit that can run stand alone, or can be easily rolled inline with other web equipment. The system can produce foil stamping, numbering and imprinting, all from the same system. All circumference sizes are computer controlled, no cylinder changes are necessary. The Wizard Hotfoil system shares the same technology as our Labeling systems, which means high performance, unmatched accuracy and is operator friendly.

The standard hotfoil system is equipped with the following:

– 4 side adjustable pintractors

• adjusting sideways is done manually while running

• distance between front and back pintractors is manually adjustable while running to compensate for variable web lengths

– End of paper sensor

– Major cassette contains the following:

• 2 heated upper rings (up to 160° C). Each ring has 2 heated segments with a surface of 100 mm wide x 130 mm long. These rings are dismountable and moveable sideways.

• Electrical wiring is connected with a socket box, thus, no technical knowledge from the operator is required and the system is completely operator friendly.

• The heated surface is scanned and adjusted to the temperature set-up.

– 2 rings composed out of 2 parts, undercut for self-adhesive rubber blanket 0.94mm (thickness to be determined by customer)

– 4 rings that are used to support the paper web

– 2 controlled foil-pull rollers with unwind and rewinds for foils

        • two max 50 mm wide & one max 100 mm wide

– 2 photocells used for controlling the hologram foils

– 2 numbering rings and cams

– 1 full width full ink train with 2 form rollers and ink ductor

Options

        – Heated drum:100 mm wide

        – Impression cylinder: 100 mm wide

        – Unwind & rewind: 100 mm wide
